The Simply Hobbies Model Shop is part of the Simply Hobbies network.
How Did it Start? Simply Hobbies is a family business that was launched in 2010, with a mission to offer people new ways to find something to do, offer support to go and do them and also provide facilities to purchase all kinds of hobby essentials. We began with two websites, SimplyHobbies.co.uk and LoveYourHobby.co.uk.
Initially LoveYourHobby.co.uk was a one-for-all superstore of hobby goods, carrying everything from outdoor essentials to die cast scale models. But after some research, we found that the broad spectrum approach was more confusing to our customers than it needed to be. At this point, we made the decision to split our business further and have bespoke websites for each audience, and we think this has brought about a greater service to each of our target audiences.
Simply Hobbies is there to provide the information you need, and Love Your Hobby is now a model shop, designed to supply a range of die cast and radio controlled models and accessories. In 2012 we intend to build a brand new camping and outdoors shop (this is already under way), a gun-sports shop (tailored to the air rifle enthusiast), and many more activities, that for now we can't announce (sorry, lips-sealed until the ball is rolling for those projects).
So make sure you get the best out of both of our current sites, and remember that you can be a guide to others too, we want your reviews on the products and information available so that we can provide the best service possible. We are regularly looking to work with other businesses around the UK, especially activity centres, sports venues or instructors who help get people started with a new hobby.
The Way We Do ThingsWe believe in quality. We don't source cheap and inferior products that we hope will give us a bigger margin, we source the products that our research shows us that our customers are looking for - but these products often come at a premium. The saying goes that 'you get what you pay for', and it has always shown itself to be true in our case. We do everything we can to purchase at the best possible rates to be competitive in this market, but we can't afford to cut costs across the board just to be cheaper than everyone else. We believe our prices to offer our customers as fair a deal as possible. After all, they are the ones that keep us going and we won't forget that. As a family run business, there is a level of team work second to none, and we wouldn't treat our customers in a way we ourselves wouldnt want to be treated - so with that in mind we always pull out the stops to help you.
